NOW Cranberry Mannose Packets is a women's probiotic formula with Cranberry and D-Mannose, which are two well-researched ingredients for urinary tract care. Our immune-supporting blend of 10 probiotic bacterial strains assists in the maintenance of a woman's delicate microbial balance. Cranberries naturally possess flavonoids and other bioactive components that can also promote normal urinary tract ecology by helping to maintain a healthy mucosal surface within the bladder.

D-Mannose is a naturally occurring simple sugar that is metabolized only in small amounts by the body, with the remainder being rapidly excreted with the urine. Because insubstantial amounts of D-Mannose are used by the body, it does not interfere with healthy blood sugar regulation. In the urinary tract, D-Mannose complements the body's natural elimination process by maintaining a healthy environment in the bladder. Clinical studies have demonstrated that when taken regularly, D-Mannose can help to maintain the health of the urinary tract.

Good stuff

I have been prone to UTI's during most of my adult life. It's just a miserable experience, and antibiotics work but I dread taking them. There are so many cranberry based supplements out there, and I've tried quite a few but have never found any to work particularly well. This one does seem to work. I've taken it as a preventive measure, and I've also used this when I sense a UTI may be developing (for this I do take higher amount). I am at a point where if something seems promising and is harmless to take, then I'd just take it. A word of caution, D Mannose can cause diarrhea. There is a product out there called Uqora. I tried it and found it to work no better than this product I'm reviewing, and Uqora costs much more than this one.
